The digital section of the P5 pre-amp uses dual AKM 32-bit DAC to deliver audio to a Class A preamplifier maintaining all the detail, accuracy and fidelity of the original music source. The crucial sense of rhythm and timing is maintained regardless of musical genre and listening style. With 17 independent voltage regulators, the Michi P5 provides power from two custom designed toroidal transformers for low noise, combined with smoothing capacitors to move the current easily where it needs to be, letting you hear both the power and the subtleties in the music.
The Michi P5 is equipped with all the inputs to cover your music needs, including four analogue RCA inputs, alongside two balanced stereo XLRs. An in-built phono stage supports both Moving Magnet and Moving Coil cartridges for the highest precision detail from vinyl. The digital inputs include optical and coaxial inputs to connect CD transport, digital streamers, as well as Bluetooth wireless connectivity with aptX and AAC.
With high quality outputs, the Michi P5 provides plenty of connections to a power amplifier. Both RCA and balanced XLR outputs are supplied to ensure a secure connection to your power amp. Automation and system control integration is easily supported with RS232 and Ethernet connections. The P5 also supports MQA Master Quality Authenticated files, allowing you to play back MQA audio with the sound of the original master recording.
